Saya ada seorang makcik.Dia pekak dan bisu sejak kecil lagi .Mak kata dia kena demam panas.
Masa kecik-kecik dahulu saya suka bermain dengan dia kerana dia seorang yang ceria.
Kalau nak berbicara,mestilah dengan menggunakan bahasa isyaratMacam-macam bahasa isyarat yang kami gunakanuntuk berbicara,biasalah kecik lagi.Dulu ingatlah setiap huruf dengan menggunakan tangan dari A sampai Z, tetapi selapas lama tak amalkannya,sekarang ni ingat huruf A dan Z sahaja.
Kalau nak di ikutkan macam-macam cabaran hidup yang dia hadapi sebab mengalami kesukaran untuk berkomunikasi.Saya pernah tanya dia,tak sedih ke tak boleh mendengar dan bercakap,dia jawab, dia tetap bersyukur sebab dia masih boleh melihat.

Dia pun boleh bersyukur walaupun hanya dikurniakan penglihatan.Kita seharusnya lebih bersyukur.Adakah bila nikmat yang di beri di tarik kembali baru kita nak menghargainya?

Salam...

It`s seems I not posting anything for a long time. Everyone start to post something for this holiday.
Alhamdulillah, I just finished my 1st year of medical school. Rasa macam baru semalam daftar.
Truly a honeymoon year.Erk,sorry puan Jualiana,my mentor that always tell and advice me not to0 relax and playing even though just in first year…
Many new things and experience I learn… Thanks to all my lecturers and friends for teaching and correcting me.

But…, one thing I most regret in this fist year is tak sempat nak mintak maaf kat ayah angkat pRof Husin..Banyak sangat salah kat die...merungut kelas lama sangat,main2 masa tutor sampai kena marah and banyak lagi..tahu2 jer dia dah balik Mesir.patot r rasa macam susah jer nak faham fisio.

Kerana ketekunannya dalam beribadah dan menuntut ilmu, Nabi Idris dikurniakan Allah SWT pengetahuan yang sangat luas.
Dialah manusia pertama yang menulis dengan pen serta satu-satunya Nabi yang tinggal di surga tanpa mengalami kematian.

Dari Sahl bin a’ad Radhiyallahu ‘anhu bahwasanya Rasulullah Shallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam bersabda.

Imam An-Nawawi berkata bahwa penyebab doa pada waktu kehujanan tidak ditolak atau jarang ditolak dikarenakan pada saat itu sedang turun rahmat khususnya curahan hujan pertama di awal musim. [Fathul Qadir 3/340].

al-kisah, pada suatu hari, ade 3 org sedang menaiki smapan.... mengharungi arus sungai yang agak deras untuk sampai ke destinasi yang ingin dituju. Mereka terdiri daripada seorang pengayuh sampan, seorang doktor yang berjaya, dan seorang arkitek yang sangat terkenal.

Dalam perjalanan, tiba-tiba si doktor cuba memecahkan kesunyian antara mereka bertiga. si doktor telah bertanya kepd si pengayuh sampan yang tua namun masih kuat menongkah arus, " Pakcik2, pakcik ni dulu blaja katne, ape kelulusan ek ?? "

pakcik tua tu pun menjawab, " pakcik ni asal kampung je, x reti pun bace2 ni, mengayuh sampan ni la mata pencarian pak cik "

si doctor mmbls dengan sinis, " Ooo, padan la dengan kelulusan pakcik tuh, kenape pakcik xak blaja sungguh2 mase kecik2... kan dh melarat tyme tue2 nie... Tgok sy skrg, dulu blaja sungguh2, sampai dapat title Dr. ni, bukan senang tau ... ( dgn penuh takbur dan bongkak ) "

si arkitek pula mencelah, " betul tu, sy pulak dh reka mcm2 jenis bangunan yang hebat2 kat dunia nie... mcm2 dh anugerah yang sy dapat... bukan sume yg dpt peluang nie tau...
(sama bongkak dan bengong )

Tiba2, ade satu gelombang besar yg dtg lalu memecahkan sampan itu, sume org di atas smpn tadi kaget... tp pkcik yg tue td pantas terjun ke dlm sungai... dia segera menyuruh kedua2 penumpangnya td, si doktor dan arkitek untuk terjun brsama, namun mereka berdua tidak tahu langsung berenang...

Pkcik td cube utk menyelamatkan kedua2 penumpangnya... namun arus yg deras menghalang niat murni beliau...

Akhirnya, si Doktor dan Arkitek hanyut dibawa arus dn lemas... tinggal lah pakcik tue shj yg selamat ke tebing sungai... die berkata dlam hatinya , " Korang lebih berilmu dari aku, berjawatan tinggi, bergaji besar... tp kebodohan korang dlam bab berenang telah menyebabkan korang terkorban........

PENGAJARAN :

Old donkey in the well

This is a story about an old donkey, who while walking fell into a dry well. He started shouting expecting that someone will pull him out of the well.

There were few passersby, who looked into the well and found the old donkey in a bad shape. They had no toools or ropes to pull him out. Also there was no help available around. They decided that the donkey should die rather than suffer and in any case the donkey didn't stand a chance of survival.

So they collected the mud lying around and started throwing into the well, to bury the donkey. Everytime the mud was thrown at him, the donkey shook the mud off his body and stepped on it. By the time the mud completely filled the well, the donkey climbed the mud and came out of the well.

Next time if someone throws mud at you, just shake it off yourself and get over it soon. Keep focus on your goal and don't be distracted by what others believe.

The Story of the Man and His Damp Bed

I was with my group of friends at a coffee place, happily chatting, when suddenly one of them developed an excruciating pain in her tummy. The pain was so intense for my friend that we had to bring her to the nearest clinic immediately. She was limping, her hands pressed against her abdomen and she was shedding some tears. We tried to hold her steady while she made her way to the doctor’s office.

It turns out that she had not been taking care of her food intake and had developed gastritis. Alhamdulillaah, after a few spoons of medication, she got better and we sent her home.

As I drove back, I kept thinking of the pain my friend had just experienced. I could vividly recall her facial expression, see her tears dropping and her trembling hands, all reflecting the agonizing pain she was feeling. I pray to Allaah to spare me from such agony.

Then, it dawned upon me. If gastritis can put a person in such a pain, I wonder how does a labour pain feels. Yes, I did say labour pain. Brothers, keep on reading. You need to know and understand this. Sisters, we all have heard of it before, some of you may have even experienced it. Bear with me, ok.

Have you heard of RAAM? That’s the acronym for “Race Across America”. It is the toughest ultra-distance bicycle endurance competition held annually in the States. Participants had to cycle from coast to coast covering 3000 miles across the United States in eight or nine days, riding the whole 24-hours in a day. Ok, you may ask me now, so, what is the relevance of this race and a labour pain?

Well, there is one lady who won this competition several times had actually said that pain from a childbirth is much more agonizing that the races she had won! Imagine that. I could not even begin to comprehend the idea of how a 9-day of suffering of these cyclists are cramped into a few hours of labour, and even that, it is nothing compared to the labour pain.

Thanks to her, I think I can better understand and appreciate the meaning of hardship in this ayah...

وَوَصَّيْنَا الإِنسَـنَ بِوَلِدَيْهِ إِحْسَـناً حَمَلَتْهُ أُمُّهُ كُرْهاً وَوَضَعَتْهُ كُرْهاً وَحَمْلُهُ وَفِصَـلُهُ

“And We have enjoined on man to be dutiful and kind to his parents. His mother bears him with hardship. And she brings him forth with hardship.” [al-Ahqaaf 46:15]

May Allaah reward all mothers for enduring such pain and hardship to bring all of us in this world. Ameen

Seeking Happiness

Everyone on Earth is looking to be happy. However, few ask the question: What is happiness? Is it wealth after poverty? Health after illness? Strength after wretchedness?

Or is it to possess wisdom and sagacity? To indulge in carnal pleasures? To live a life of absolute freedom, not even confined by the dictates of morality and faith?

Questions like these come easily to mind, since happiness is something real. It is not an illusion. A person of knowledge finds happiness in knowledge and get 4 flat in their final eaxam... A generous person finds happiness in giving. An industrious person finds happiness in productive work. The pleasure that they feel is far greater than the simple pleasures of eating, drinking, and acquiring wealth.

Yet, the question still remains: Is this is the utmost degree of human aspirations? Is happiness nothing more?

By nature, a human being is never content. There is always a drive to seek after something more, something better. A wealthy person seeks after further acquisitions. A scientist who makes a discovery goes on to another, more ambitious topic of research.

This restless discontent goes on until a person aspires to the Lord, and finds peace in worshipping Him and in knowing that He is protecting and guiding us every step of the way. When `Umar b. `Abd al-`Azîz became Caliph, he wanted to aspire to an even greater triumph. He said: "Nothing remains to achieve except Paradise."

No matter how much we strive and how much we attain in this world, there will always be pain and discomfort. There will always be sorrows that we are unable to bear on our own. However, if we set our sights on the Hereafter and work righteousness, we will find relief and a balm for our worries. There is, in fact, no other way to attain such peace.

This is because true happiness requires us to aspire to a higher purpose, to have a noble meaning that we carry forward throughout our lives. When our sights are set upon such a purpose and we have full confidence in our Lord, then we can be reconciled to whatever befalls us. Then we experience true peace and contentment. We neither feel excessive joy at the good things that come our way nor excessive grief at the losses that we suffer.

If we take the time to look at those around us – really look at them – we will see the worry and concern written in their faces. Their nice clothes and their smiling expressions may not indicate their worries, but those worries will be visible nonetheless. This is because they are engaged in the relentless competition for material gain, and this preoccupies their hearts and prevents them from attaining real happiness. The Qur'ân expresses this truth most eloquently, as if it is speaking about our own day and time.
Allah says: "Rivalry in worldly increase distracts you until you come to the graves." [Sûrah al-Takâthur: 1-2]

Those who are obsessed with worldly pursuits, their weary, worry-filled days on Earth come to an all of the sudden, while they are unprepared.

All the same, happiness is not to be found in leisure and relaxation, like many people suppose. Happiness is found in surmounting difficulties, in solving problems, in overcoming one's weaknesses. An indolent person never experiences the pleasure of achievement. Happiness is found in the pain that is followed by triumph, in the sorrow that is followed by joy. It is found in bringing good to people through our endeavors to develop the Earth. It is found in the noblest expressions of our very humanity.

Unhappy People Watch Lots More TV

The finding, announced on Thursday, comes from a survey of nearly 30,000 American adults conducted between 1975 and 2006 as part of the General Social Survey.

While happy people reported watching an average of 19 hours of television per week, unhappy people reported 25 hours a week. The results held even after taking into account education, income, age and marital status.

In addition, happy individuals were more socially active, attended more religious services, voted more and read a newspaper more often than their less-chipper counterparts.

The researchers are not sure, though, whether unhappiness leads to more television-watching or more viewing leads to unhappiness.

In fact, people say they like watching television: Past research has shown that when people watch television they enjoy it. In these studies, participants reported that on a scale from 0 (dislike) to 10 (greatly enjoy), TV-watching was nearly an 8.

But perhaps the high from watching television doesn't last.

"These conflicting data suggest that TV may provide viewers with short-run pleasure, but at the expense of long-term malaise," said researcher John Robinson, a sociologist at the University of Maryland, College Park.

In this scenario, even the happiest campers could turn into Debbie-downers if they continue to stare at the boob-tube. The researchers suggest that over time, television-viewing could push out other activities that do have more lasting benefits. Exercise and sex come to mind, as do parties and other forms of socialization known to have psychological benefits.

Or, maybe television is simply a refuge for people who are already unhappy.

Everyone gravitated toward Newton, but he just kept moving around at a constant velocity and showed no reaction.

Pascal was under too much pressure to enjoy himself.

Photosynthesis

Photosynthesis is the process of converting light energy to chemical energy and storing it in the bonds of sugar. This process occurs in plants and some algae (Kingdom Protista). Plants need only light energy, CO2, and H2O to make sugar. The process of photosynthesis takes place in the chloroplasts, specifically using chlorophyll, the green pigment involved in photosynthesis.

Photosynthesis takes place primarily in plant leaves, and little to none occurs in stems, etc. The parts of a typical leaf include the upper and lower epidermis, the mesophyll, the vascular bundle(s) (veins), and the stomates. The upper and lower epidermal cells do not have chloroplasts, thus photosynthesis does not occur there. They serve primarily as protection for the rest of the leaf. The stomates are holes which occur primarily in the lower epidermis and are for air exchange: they let CO2 in and O2 out. The vascular bundles or veins in a leaf are part of the plant's transportation system, moving water and nutrients around the plant as needed. The mesophyll cells have chloroplasts and this is where photosynthesis occurs.

As you hopefully recall, the parts of a chloroplast include the outer and inner membranes, intermembrane space, stroma, and thylakoids stacked in grana. The chlorophyll is built into the membranes of the thylakoids.

Chlorophyll looks green because it absorbs red and blue light, making these colors unavailable to be seen by our eyes. It is the green light which is NOT absorbed that finally reaches our eyes, making chlorophyll appear green. However, it is the energy from the red and blue light that are absorbed that is, thereby, able to be used to do photosynthesis. The green light we can see is not/cannot be absorbed by the plant, and thus cannot be used to do photosynthesis.

The overall chemical reaction involved in photosynthesis is: 6CO2 + 6H2O (+ light energy) C6H12O6 + 6O2. This is the source of the O2 we breathe, and thus, a significant factor in the concerns about deforestation

There are two parts to photosynthesis:

The light reaction happens in the thylakoid membrane and converts light energy to chemical energy. This chemical reaction must, therefore, take place in the light. Chlorophyll and several other pigments such as beta-carotene are organized in clusters in the thylakoid membrane and are involved in the light reaction. Each of these differently-colored pigments can absorb a slightly different color of light and pass its energy to the central chlorphyll molecule to do photosynthesis. The central part of the chemical structure of a chlorophyll molecule is a porphyrin ring, which consists of several fused rings of carbon and nitrogen with a magnesium ion in the center.

The energy harvested via the light reaction is stored by forming a chemical called ATP (adenosine triphosphate), a compound used by cells for energy storage. This chemical is made of the nucleotide adenine bonded to a ribose sugar, and that is bonded to three phosphate groups. This molecule is very similar to the building blocks for our DNA.

The dark reaction takes place in the stroma within the chloroplast, and converts CO2 to sugar. This reaction doesn't directly need light in order to occur, but it does need the products of the light reaction (ATP and another chemical called NADPH). The dark reaction involves a cycle called the Calvin cycle in which CO2 and energy from ATP are used to form sugar. Actually, notice that the first product of photosynthesis is a three-carbon compound called glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate. Almost immediately, two of these join to form a glucose molecule.

Most plants put CO2 directly into the Calvin cycle. Thus the first stable organic compound formed is the glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate. Since that molecule contains three carbon atoms, these plants are called C3 plants. For all plants, hot summer weather increases the amount of water that evaporates from the plant. Plants lessen the amount of water that evaporates by keeping their stomates closed during hot, dry weather. Unfortunately, this means that once the CO2 in their leaves reaches a low level, they must stop doing photosynthesis. Even if there is a tiny bit of CO2 left, the enzymes used to grab it and put it into the Calvin cycle just don't have enough CO2 to use. Typically the grass in our yards just turns brown and goes dormant. Some plants like crabgrass, corn, and sugar cane have a special modification to conserve water. These plants capture CO2 in a different way: they do an extra step first, before doing the Calvin cycle. These plants have a special enzyme that can work better, even at very low CO2 levels, to grab CO2 and turn it first into oxaloacetate, which contains four carbons. Thus, these plants are called C4 plants. The CO2 is then released from the oxaloacetate and put into the Calvin cycle. This is why crabgrass can stay green and keep growing when all the rest of your grass is dried up and brown.

There is yet another strategy to cope with very hot, dry, desert weather and conserve water. Some plants (for example, cacti and pineapple) that live in extremely hot, dry areas like deserts, can only safely open their stomates at night when the weather is cool. Thus, there is no chance for them to get the CO2 needed for the dark reaction during the daytime. At night when they can open their stomates and take in CO2, these plants incorporate the CO2 into various organic compounds to store it. In the daytime, when the light reaction is occurring and ATP is available (but the stomates must remain closed), they take the CO2 from these organic compounds and put it into the Calvin cycle. These plants are called CAM plants, which stands for crassulacean acid metabolism after the plant family, Crassulaceae (which includes the garden plant Sedum) where this process was first discovered.

Dye-Sensitised Bendy Solar Cells

Chemists in Switzerland and China have used a liquid electrolyte to make flexible solar cells that are better than current devices at withstanding heat from the sun's rays. The new type of dye-sensitised solar cell (DSC) is the latest product from Michael Grätzel, who was the first to make DSCs in 1991.

'This cell will make an important contribution to the market for power generation in the future,' says Grätzel, director of the laboratory of photonics and interfaces at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL). In contrast to traditional solid silicon semiconductor-based cells, the DSC uses light-sensitive dye molecules in a liquid electrolyte.

The liquid electrolyte is in contact with all parts of the cell at once, making it a highly efficient conductor. This also makes the cell flexible - so cells could be used in portable electronic devices. But using DSCs in large outdoor arrays has been difficult because the liquid electrolyte - often a volatile solvent - can evaporate at the high temperatures cells reach in direct sunlight.

Recent designs have made use of ionic liquids: salts with a low melting point that are liquid at room temperature. Although these solvent-free DSCs are more stable to heat, they can be inefficient.

Grätzel's team has solved this problem by using a 'eutectic melt' - a mixture of several solids that form a liquid when combined. One example of a eutectic melt is seen when salt is used to de-ice roads. Solid sodium chloride and solid water (ice) mix to form liquid saltwater.

'We mixed three solid imidazolium iodides to form a highly conductive, ambient-temperature liquid,' says Peng Wang, who worked on the project at the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Changchun, China. 'In contrast, the individual ingredients are solid and non-conductive at room-temperature.'

The advantage of using these eutectic mixtures, Wang explains, is that they have much higher conductivities than ordinary ionic liquids but remain extremely stable at high temperatures.
The solar cells can turn about 8 per cent of the sunlight that falls on them into electricity but Grätzel believes that their efficiency could be improved further. 'The maximum power conversion efficiency that can be reached by this kind of solar cell is around 31 per cent,' he says.

Commenting on the work, Juan Bisquert, who works on dye-sensitised solar cells at Jaume I University in Castellón de la Plana, Spain, says, 'The 8 per cent efficiency is comparatively high, as this is approaching the amorphous silicon technologies that are on the market.'
